During the horrendous Communist era, when the goverment prohibited the Jews to keep the Torah and Mitzvos, an underground yeshiva kept on functioning in Berdichev. Chabad kept on operating many secret yeshivos in the USSR, right under the nose of the Secret Services, with the brave chassidim often risking their lives in the process.
